Avatar and Elvis

October 27th, 2010 by FRaNKy

Checking FindAPinball the “featured location” was Antwerp Bowling. And it had an Avatar… At only 15 minutes away from the office.

Dead ringer that this was an opportunity not to miss as I couldn’t attend the usual Launch Party at Bingovits for the latest Stern Title. I’m not an Avatar fan, heck I haven’t seen the movie and I intend to keep it that way.

But the pinball ? Gee Batman.. I dont know. I am not impressed. Looking at the latest Stern games I like Iron Man more and altho it has almost the same layout, I still prefer Big Buck Hunter. Yes I got some multiballs on the Avatar game and a replay and whatnot but its not my kind of game… Personal opinion.

Walking towards the meeting point for that evenings Comedy Evening I walked by bar with the blinkenlights of attract mode. Elvis had landed !

Honestly, I don’t get this game. I cant even lock a single ball when playing… The score isnt bad but that garage door shot on the upper playfield is something I haven’t made a single time. Its probably like with The Simpsons Pinball Party, once you know the timimg to lock a ball on the couch its a nobrainer… But the first shot needs to be made in order for the brain to wire itsself.

So played some Elvis. 2 games for a euro is not bad… Its a nice location but well, not going to visit it regularly…
